I've only got eyes for you...
by Joop Blokker
A ll monitors are equal, but all eyes are different... Mokie is aware of the fact that you may have different preferences, so it offers you a wealth of color schemes to choose from and it also lets you select your own favorite color scheme.
When you click on the 'Colors' Menu in Mokie's Main Window you see a lot of 'prefab color schemes' from 'Spring' to 'Winter' and lots more. These color schemes are all contributed by our beloved Beta Testers!
I prefer a light sunny background with black font. However, if you are color blind or light text on a dark background is better for your eyes then you may prefer the great 'Ebony' or 'Goldee' designs.
Whatever color scheme you choose -- whether it be one of the prefabs or one you design yourself that is best for YOUR eyes -- Mokum Mail is at your service!
By the way... the slide show above was created in a few minutes using Mokie. That feature is available starting v5.0 -- What... You don't have that version yet? How about clicking

My Tag Line has disappeared..!
by Karen Shirron
A couple weeks ago I was chatting on the phone with a Mokie Academy Student helping her with a lesson. During the conversation she proceeded to say that her Tag Line had disappeared even though she had included it in many of her saved Themes.

We "walked" through opening up a Theme in the editor but alas there was NO Tag Line showing!!

"Click on your OPTIONS button (next to that tag field) and tell me what it says?", I asked.

Ahhh Ha!! There's your problem!! You have it checked for NO TAG! The option you select in that box prevails over the Tag Line option in any THEME.
E.g. If you have set the OPTION to "No Tag Line" then you will have no Tag Line, no matter what Tag Line file is defined in the Theme. So IF you want to send a message occasionally with NO Tag Line, my advice is to simply clear (highlight and click delete!) the existing Tag Line showing in the Editor window before hitting your SEND button.

Tell them: Click On That Mill..!

by Becky Darsey
D id you ever wonder about the little mill at the bottom of your messages? Have you ever clicked on it? This icon is a miniature ad for Mokum Mail. If you put your mouse cursor over the icon, it simply says "Created using Mokum Mail," but the click of your mouse button takes you directly to the Mokie website.
This is a terrific way for you to share information about the program without feeling like you are delivering a sales pitch to your friends and family. They can see for themselves by the messages they receive from you, and they can find out as much information as they would like on the website about what they can do with MM. AND, with the ad being so small and at the bottom of your message, it does not interfere with your creation or any of your scripts.
Of course you can remove the ad from your messages if you wish, and in some situations where the recipient of your message cannot receive images at all, it is necessary. You can always find more information about this by clicking the INFO button in the main window.
