Are you a Tutorial Author?
by Joop Blokker

If you are a Tutorial Author or a Manual Writer or you need to create a text page on your web site, you may want to read a short article that I wrote with you in mind!

The Mokum Mail program is not only great for writing E-mails, it is also a fine tool for writing tutorials! Making the text flow around pictures, placing a new text section below a picture, adding a "Print this" link if the lesson needs to be printed to paper and putting invisible page-brake commands in your text to avoid printing images partly at the bottom of one sheet and the rest on the next sheet are very simple tricks that may make your writer's life easier! Click here and have fun!

School Bells Are Ringing!
by Karen Shirron

This year is certainly flying by fast! It is April 1st already and that is no April Fool's joke! Mokum Mail v6.0 was released 3 months ago and we have spent the last month adapting our Academy lessons to reflect the changes. With some new revisions and tips, an easier format for printing and the ability to download an entire lesson folder to view and work off line, we are once again ready to start school!

We WELCOME new students who can benefit from some instruction by helping you "find your way", and past students who want to brush up on some of the changes, or just see what we have added! The lessons are available to any one, whether you are a registered user or some one who has downloaded the 30 day Trial Version. You can study the lessons at your own pace and time.

Unlike last year, you will not be assisted by a Personal Mentor, however at the end of each lesson you find a link to write any question to me. I will reply to your message myself or I will ask one of the Mentors to reply.

If you are a member of the Mokum Café, please share your creative results of the lessons there. Other visitors of the Café may also be willing to help you if needed. If you are not a Café member but you are a registered MM user, we invite you to click here to join the list.

You do not have to subscribe to the lessons. Just go to the
Mokum Mail Academy and start right away. It could not be easier!

Forward. Forward... Foooorwaaaaard..!! ;-)
by Becky Darsey

Okay, we have all received them (and I would wager most of us have sent a couple as well). Those messages that are so profound/funny/sweet/endearing or whatever else that you just have to send it to everyone you know, so you do what we all do, you hit the FORWARD button. So after you do that, a dozen or so of the people you send the message to find it just as compelling and they also hit that FORWARD button, and before you know it, you are receiving a message that has every line beginning like this:

>>>>>>>>>>>>> Did you know that you
>>>>>>>>>>>>> can avoid these if you just use
>>>>>>>>>>>>> Mokum Mail and select the
>>>>>>>>>>>>> ”forward as original” option
>>>>>>>>>>>>> make sure that people are actually...

... reading your messages as they were intended to be read, and they also don't have to open the list of forwards to get to the information that you wanted them to see. How terrific is it, that by using Mokum Mail to share these messages, the recipient sees the message immediately and not the first caret (>) dangled in front of them! Wow, who knew there were SO many great reasons to use Mokum Mail? Giving your e-mail wings was never easier or more fun!

Kind regards,

The Mokum Mail Team:
