Let me get right to the point: THIS TIME I WANT SOMETHING FROM YOU! I want something that you don't use and it will not cost you a penny.
The Mokum Mail Team participates in World Community Grid, where we donate idle time on our computers to nonprofit research projects. Today, hundreds of thousand of volunteers around the globe are donating processing time when their computers are on
but not in use. World Community Grid is using this computing power to conduct research on promising humanitarian projects, reducing research time from years to months.
Please join us in helping solve some of humanity's most significant problems. It's easy, safe, and free - and in less than 10 minutes you can be contributing to projects like:
Discovering Dengue Drugs - Together
FightAIDS@Home
Help Conquer Cancer
Human Proteome Folding 2
Nutritious Rice for the World
You can be part of this exciting work!
Become a member of World Community Grid TODAY. To learn more and join, go to World Community Grid's web site at http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org.
Download a small software program onto your computer. There's no simpler way to help change our world for the better.
Once you have subscribed and installed the program, search for "Mokum Mail Team" (sans quotes) and join our Team!
We have all lost relatives or friends who suffered from cancer or aids, that's why I think these projects are VERY important. Thank you and welcome to the Mokum Mail Team on World Community Grid!

2008 rolls to an end...
by Karen Shirron
As 2008 approaches it's final days, I am busily revising the INFO files so that the "new" Mokum Mail LITE users will find their way easily AND the MM registered users, who upgrade to v7.0 for less than $20, will see what's new!

But more important, on behalf of the Mokum Mail staff, I want to wish everyone a Safe and Happy Holiday season!! Our users come from all parts of the world and the celebrations go hand in hand with ALL faiths and beliefs... so it is to each and every one of you that we send our good wishes and thanks for being a part of the Mokum Mail family.
Last, but by no means least, our heartfelt THANKS go out to the Beta testers. Without this group of friends and hard workers, Mokum Mail would not be what it is today. The time you spent the past 8(!) years and more, testing new features as well as your ideas for such are invaluable to the growth of Mokum Mail and we could not be where we are without you.

New for 2009 - Mokum Mail LITE!
by Becky Darsey
Most current Mokum Mail users first gave the program a test run by downloading the 30-day free trial and then registered the program once they saw how wonderful it is,
but as of January 1, 2009, that will no longer be an option for new users. Before you get too upset, we are proud to announce that new users will be able to download a
Mokum Mail LITE version of the program in order to take a test drive.
Although the new freeware version will never expire and can be used indefinately, we are confident that Mokum Mail Lite users will soon want to benefit from ALL of the features of the registered version. Of course, in order to have the complete Mokum Mail experience, they will still have to purchase the registered version.
So your next question is, just what can I do with Mokum Mail LITE?
Answer: You can check your mail, reply on the spot, and send plain text messages. The LITE version is perfect for the “no-nonsense” e-mailer. Of course, you can ALSO begin learning how beautiful stationary is created and how a message can be personalized and sent immediately. This means that Mokum Mail LITE can give your email butterfly wings, and the registered version is more likely to send your e-mail soaring like an eagle.
The sky is the limit when you use Mokum Mail, whether you use the LITE version or the FULL registered version.
